Trump Overrules Pelosi, Openly Calls On Ukraine, China To Investigate The Bidens

President Trump just doubled down and asked the leaders of China and Ukraine to investigate the Bidens.

Nancy Pelosi probably spit out her breakfast when she heard Trump’s words as that is the exact issue she is trying to impeach Trump over.

Trump knows the Senate will never convict so he must feel safe to tell Pelosi to go pound sand – but the strategy has some risks.

As for the Bidens – the damage is already done. Look, this is the way the swamp works and it is probably 100% legal but this is not a criminal trial.

This is a trial for public opinion and the public clearly knows, if they did not before, that the Biden’s engage in pay to play like everyone else in the swamp. Which makes him unelectable today.

Look, Trump hasn’t even started in on Joe Biden’s brother who is very swampy in his own right. Biden has been slipping in the polls and the real question is did Trump knock him out too early because if this stuff came out at the end of the campaign Biden would be finished.

As it is, he won’t be the nominee and if the Dems elect a radical, Trump should cakewalk into a second term.

From The Hill:

“I would think that if they were honest about it they’d start a major investigation into the Bidens,” Trump told reporters at the White House when asked what he wanted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to do about the Bidens following the July 25 call between the two leaders.

The call triggered an intelligence community whistleblower complaint and is at the heart of House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into the president.

Trump on Thursday doubled down on unsubstantiated allegations that Biden and his son, Hunter, engaged in corrupt behavior, also urging a probe by China.

“China should start an investigation into the Bidens,” Trump told reporters before departing for an executive order signing in Florida.

The president, whose administration is currently negotiating with China to resolve a trade dispute, said he had not explicitly asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to open an investigation, but that it’s “certainly something we can start thinking about.”

Trump’s comments are likely to further fuel Democratic calls for impeachment. House Democrats launched an impeachment inquiry last week, and they have zeroed in on Trump soliciting a foreign leader to look into a domestic political rival as the basis for allegations that he abused his office.

House Democrats have threatened to subpoena the White House for records related to the Ukraine matter if it does not comply by Friday. The administration’s former envoy to Ukraine, Kurt Volker, sat with House lawmakers on Thursday for deposition.

“I would say that President Zelensky, if it were me, I would recommend they start an investigation into the Bidens,” the president continued.
